Barbara A. Jones

Barbara A. Jones, 51, of Lebanon and formerly of Norwich and Colchester, passed away suddenly, Thursday evening, August 18, 2016 at Backus Hospital in Norwich.

Born December 16, 1964 in Milford, she was a daughter of the late Robert Hasselman and Gloria (Wise) Hasselman of Florida.

Barbara married William Taylor Jones in November of 1981.  Soon after, the couple moved to Norwich where they made their home and raised their family.  Barbara worked for a time as a cashier at Stop and Shop but mostly she was a homemaker.   She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.  She leaves to morn her passing her beloved husband of 34 years, William; five children, Bill and his wife Jennifer of Yantic, Anthony Jones and his fiancé Melissa of Norwich, Tiffany Jones of Cromwell, Jennifer Frechette and Tina Jones, both of Norwich; a brother, Jim Hasselman of New London; two sisters, Robin Hasselman and Debbie Kensel, both of Norwich; five grandchildren, Abigale Frechette, Connor Congress, Luke Jones, William Jones, Jr., Kayleigh Jones; and numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was pre deceased by two sisters, Donna and Suzie Hasselman.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with these arrangements.
