Jeannette Anita (McLean) Graham
March 8, 1921 ~ October 19, 2017 (age 96) 96 Years OldJeannette Anita (McLean) Graham, 96, passed away peacefully Thursday (Oct. 19, 2017) surrounded by her loving family. She was widowed by her first husband of 50 years, Norman A. Graham. The two had raised their family in East Hartford, where she was active in the community as well as a communicant of St. Christopher’s and Blessed Sacrament Parishes. Mrs. Graham had worked as a Clerk for the Travelers Insurance Co. for 20 years. Following her retirement, she had made her home in both Homestead and Lake Wales, FL for the next 20 years. In addition to Norman, she was predeceased by her parents, James and Celina (Roy) McLean; her second husband, Michael Mattia; a grandson, Edward Pendergast; six sisters and three brothers. She leaves three children, Norman J. Graham and his wife, Marjory Graham of Amston, Joyce E. Graham of Broad Brook and Anita Byrnes and her husband, William of Waxhaw, NC; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. The family will receive guests from 4 – 5 PM Tuesday (Oct. 24th) at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester followed by a Vigil Service at 5 PM. The Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday (Oct. 25th) directly at St. Catherine Church, 6 Windsorville Road, Broad Brook. Burial will follow in the Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society, P.O.
