My heart goes out to your family. I am so sorry that you are going through this difficult time. Psalms 46:1 says, God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress. And remember that God hates it when one of His children dies (Matthew 18:14, 1 Corinthians 15:26). So He makes Himself available in order to comfort us. In fact, 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 refers to Him as the "God of all comfort". Pray to Him for strength to get through this most difficult time. Weep to Him when the words just won't come out. He will really help you (Isaiah 41:10) because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). And please, call upon His name found at Psalm 83:18. www.JW.org

Thank you all for your outpouring of love and condolence.
Karissa was always able to maintain her inner child and spread that loving glow to everyone and everything in her path. She leaned into life with love, passion, compassion, gusto, perseverance, kindness, enthusiasm and plenty of laughter.
May we all try to keep a little of that loving sparkle in our hearts to share freely and often.

To Karissa's mom, I never had the privilege to meet you or your beautiful garden that Karissa told me about frequently. I didn't know she passed from this world until Fri. September 29th when one of her instructor's told me. Karissa and I only shared one other mutual friend who was in the hospital at the time so circumstances being what they were I had no way to come honor her life and say goodbye and I'm lost because of it.
I wanted you to know that very soon after we met at Tim's Bistro she began to come to my home in colchester. She helped care for and love my now 1yo daughter Grace while i worked from home. She took her to the park, would hold her for hours as Grace slept in her arms.
She filled my home and heart with her laughter and left an indelible mark on me for the rest of my life.
She left her necklace here after the last time i saw her. I see she's wearing it in the photograph above. I don't want to his into it if it's an heirloom or even just sentimental. Please let me know if i can return it to you.
As a mom I cannot begin to imagine your loss. I pray you're filled with nothing but the best memories of Karissa. I am so sorry again.
Sincerely, Bonnie Charbonnier

To Karissa's family;
My heart is breaking for you to have to endure this pain of Karissa's passing. I think we all have to come to the realization that truly heaven is a better place with the addition of the beautiful soul Karissa possessed and we have lost.

Dear Antonia, Bruce, Grandfather Edward, Dane, Rhiannon, Mason & Noah,
I am wishing you all of the strength and peace possible at this time and in the days that may seem countless to come... My heart is broken, knowing that Karissa is not physically here. She was literally the sweetest, brightest, softest, most intuitive and measured girl that I have ever met. I do feel as though she had a golden light surrounding her wherever she was. I'm every so thankful for Karissa walking through any and all space and time in my life, but more importantly, I'm sending you my love. Karissa made a beautiful connection with my son, Ben, and daugher, Julia as well. Antonia & Bruce, I do hope to continually see you... you two are beautiful. Grandfather Edward, you have a lovely family and I'm thinking of you. Speaking to Karissa's siblings, coming from a sister who lost a brother, spirit and soul lives, feel that every single day with those warm, healing hugs.

Karissa thank you for always being kind, sweet, loving and joyful. For hugs and laughter around the dining room table. Playing games at Christmas and putting others feelings first. For honestly caring how someone was doing. For dinners at the hibachi grill where we laughed for hours. We will miss your beautiful face, beautiful personality and beaufiful soul. Thank you for loving your family beyond measure and making sure they knew that they were always number one. Love you so very much.

My dear, sweet niece, Karissa. It is hard to believe your light has gone from this world. We will always love you dearly, and hold the memory of your loving energy in our hearts and souls. I am cherishing that last hug on Monday - you gave it strongly, deeply, and with that infectious laugh of yours. Tom was remembering our last time ice skating with you, and how you radiated beauty. We will miss you forever. All of our love, Aunt Missy and Uncle Tom.

Dear, Dear Karissa.
The worst part of dying, I should think, is leaving this life which, even as seen through my non-artistic eyes, is ever so beautiful. I can imagine how an artist like you would have wanted to see its wonders for so many more years than you were allotted.
I wish we would have had one more St Patrick Day celebration with music and dancing and all in your honor, just as we did those few years ago when you were young and carefree.

I have know Karissa since she was a young teenager coming into my gallery when her mom worked for many years. She would light up the place with her contagious smile and out going personality. She would greet customers and they loved her! I used to give her task of repairing artwork and she did such a great job using the gift of art from her mom. Always a hug, always a smile , always a kind word, she touched my inner soul. Her loss will be profound but I trust God that He will find a way to carry her spirit in all her family to make this a better world to live in.
