Karissa Patrice Putman

Karissa Patrice Putman, 29, of Lebanon, passed away at home early Wednesday morning, August 16, 2017.  Born in Providence, RI on March 17, 1988, she was a daughter of Antonia Tyz Peeples and the late Hans Putman.  Karissa was currently a student at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy.  She took great pride in her studies and was on a life path that gave her great joy in knowing she would be able to help people heal. Karissa was many things to many people, but she will be remembered as someone with a great and positive outlook on life.  She was silly and happy, she loved babies and animals, she loved to cook and draw, she was kind, compassionate and most importantly, she held her relationships with family and friends in the highest regard.  Karissa will be sadly missed but always remembered by her beloved mother Antonia and stepfather, Bruce Peeples, with whom she made her home in Lebanon; a sister, Rhiannon and brother-in-law, Seth Cohen and their daughter, Ariahna of Voluntown; a brother, Dane Putman and his fiancée, Kaitlyn and their son, Denver of Lebanon; her grandfather, Edward Putman of Rockville; stepbrothers, Mason and Noah Peeples of Lebanon; and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of Karissa’s life will be held on Sunday, August 27th at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester, beginning at 1 pm with calling hours and visitation, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the animal rescue or charity of one’s choice.
