I am in shock and numb. Our family and the Stevens' were close while we grew up on Bruce Circle. We are one big family. Jeanne, Ray and Tracy, I am so sorry. You are in my prayers.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all the Stevens family. There's such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. I'd like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helps me. Prayer is so valuable at this time but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort (Ps.83:18) be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.

Dear Stevens Family,
We are so very sorry for your great loss. We have so many great memories of Ken. All the Halloweens we spent together pulling Tay, Dave, Bean and many other kids on the tractor hay wagon. Ice skating on Willoughby pond in the winter, volleyball on Friday nights folllowed by a fire in the summer. Dancing to Super Chief Trio at OHD, Ken was a great dancer. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure and we will always treasure the times we shared. Until we meet again Kenny, we love you.

Kenny will be missed by all.
He was so proud of his daughter, Taylor. Every time we bumped in to each other he would tell us all about her.
My deepest sympathies to the entire Stevens family.

My heart breaks for Kenny's entire family. Such a great loss. I went to school with Kenny and was fortunate to run into him from time to time since. He was always so sweet - and such a nice guy. He will be missed. Please treasure your memories, share them with anyone and everyone, and he will live with you forever. Prayers to you all.
