Kevin H. O'Kane

Kevin H. O’Kane, age 59, beloved husband of Kim (Chapdelaine), of Colchester, passed away after a sudden illness on September 16, 2016 in Hartford.

He was also born in Hartford, a son of Helen (Holt) O’Kane of Goodlettsvile, TN and the late Norman O’Kane. 

Kevin married Kim in 1983.  Soon after, the couple moved to Colchester where they made their home and raised their family.  Kevin worked for Wiltel as a Telephone Technician throughout his career.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and he loved animals.  Kevin was also a motorcycle enthusiast, riding with the Patriot Guard for veterans funerals. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a kind hearted and devoted family man.

He will be remembered with love by his wife of 33 years, Kim; his mother, Helen O’Kane; three children, Heather O’Kane and Derek O’Kane, both of Colchester, Ashley O’Kane and companion, Adam Parkinson of Coventry; a brother, Kenneth O’Kane of Manchester; mother-in-law, Norma Fowler of Vernon; a grandson, AJ Parkinson; and numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, John Sheldon.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21st from 5 – 6pm at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester.  A celebration of life will follow at 6pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.  Donations in his memory may be made to www.patriotguard.org.
