Kim and family,
Deeply saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I will truly miss his appearances at the casino. Always enjoyed chatting with him about life, travel, family, just about anything. He was so happy and excited the last time I saw him after hitting a big one at the bar. Just like a little kid. So sorry for your loss.

Kim and Family:
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I met Pete at the lake 10 years ago when I needed a tree taken down. He was so kind and helpful. Through out the following years he became someone I could count on to help me take car e of the yard, put up a fence, fix pipes under the cottage and put up a beautiful rock wall in the front of the house. Pete left his legacy at the lake everywhere you see a deck, rock wall, landscaped yard and most of all by his kindness and friendly smile. He will be sorely missed.

May Peter be remembered to everyone as an individual with his ability to listen, talk with you, and offer his own personal thoughts and answers that were totally honest and on mark.
I first met Peter at Norwich Tech in the Printing & Graphic Communications department in the early 70's as young students.
Eventually, years later after we both graduated Norwich Tech, we connected again as members of the Norwich Technical School - Craft Committee for Printing and Graphic Communications to assist in the future of young inspiring students and to promote the CT State vocational program in the Printing/Graphics industry.
Peter was dedicated to his craft as a printer from his earlier years of lithography printing to a now more modern digital printing processes. He always excelled in his craft as well as his in his own personal life.

I will miss Peter as a friend and mentor.
Peter, may you continue your quest -

The Printer’s Prayer
To the Great Printer who prints in all the colors of the rainbow, and whose typefaces are stars and clouds, autumn leaves and sunbeams, snowflakes and flowers, this is my prayer:

That I may set up my life to the measure of a man;
That I may have the courage, win or lose, to follow the rules of the game;
That I may point my life toward the things that count;
That I may lock up in my heart idle tales, gossip, and words that hurt;
That I may make ready for the opportunities to serve that come my way;
That I may register in my memory the splendor of sunsets, the glow of friendships, the thrill of great music, and the mental lift of inspiring thoughts;
That I may press forward in the spirit of adventure toward new horizons of achievement;
That I may work and turn out worthy accomplishments;
That the impressions I make on the white pages of time may encourage, cheer, and inspire all those who cross my path;
That I may bind together in my own life all those positive qualities that make for happy, creative, triumphant living;

And bless me in my final time with A Book of My Life to Share with Family and Friends.

Kim and Family,
Pete was a very important part of work of the State Capitol for many years. Words fail to convey the full extent of his contribution - but Pete was the "most valuable player" on many occasions. Pete took great pride in the print work he did "for State." We will miss his steady drive for perfection, his extraordinary attention to detail and his calm and winning personality. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

My first glimpse into Pete's conscientious and generous nature came the very first day I met him. He had just taken down a huge tree on my property, and I was amazed by his skill and dexterity. Afterwards, rather than fully celebrate, all he could do was apologize for scratching the screen on my window as the tree fell! Over the years "the tree man" morphed into something more important: he became a friend. Everyone who met Pete benefited from his smile, warmth, and gentle spirit. I know I did, and I will always remember him as I walk my property or relax on the deck he built for me last summer. My deepest condolences to Kim and the entire family. Rest in peace, Pete.

Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Peter, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. While doing so, take comfort in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. And as demonstrated in the past, He has the unique ability to restore perfect life on earth to those in His memory. Notice how the Bible further stress the fact in the faith strengthening video:
