Susan Joy (Marzbanian) Kohn

Susan Joy (Marzbanian) Kohn, 58, of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.  Born June 16, 1958 in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Boris “Buddy” Marzbanian and Loretta (Lewkowicz) Marzbanian Dzialo.  Susan had worked as an Administrator at Hartford Hospital for over 25 years.  Her greatest joy was found in her family, especially her grandchildren, whom affectionately called her “Mimi”.  She prided herself on never missing an important milestone or event.  Weekends were filled with sleepovers, working on arts and crafts and/or running from one game to the next.  Susan will be remembered for her kind heart and dedication to her family, whom she leaves behind; her husband of nearly 14 years, David Kohn; her two daughters, Angela Jones and her husband, Christopher of Marlborough and Lisa Marzbanian and her fiancé, Scott Richard of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Brayden, Mackenzie and Kayla; two stepsons, Michael and Daniel Kohn, both of North Carolina; her sister, Sandra Chylinski and husband, Raymond Chyl of East Haddam; brother, Andrew Marzbanian of Middletown; a niece and nephew, Stephanie and Zachary; and numerous extended family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Stephen Dzialo.  The family will receive guests from 5 to 7 pm Sunday (May 7th) at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester.  The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday (May 8th) directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 West Town St., Lebanon.  Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery.
