Anne Vernelle (Tarnowski) Ives
January 24, 1932 ~ November 15, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years OldAnne (Tarnowski) Ives, 85, of Amston, widow of the late G. Richard Ives, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 15, 2017). Born Jan. 24, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elsye (Connors) Tarnowski. She was a 1949 graduate of Bacon Academy in Colchester. Mrs. Ives was a Charter Member of the Hebron American Legion Post 95 Auxiliary as well as a longtime member of the Hebron Historical Society and had chaired the Antique Doll Show for 28 years. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She leaves four children, Richard and wife, Barbara of Lebanon, Jeffrey of Amston, Wesley of Lebanon and Margaret Palmer of Colchester; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Heather, Eddie, Jenifer, David and Courtney; six great grandchildren and her brother, Casmir Tarnowski of Arizona. The family will receive guests starting at 10 AM Tuesday (Nov. 21st) at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester before a Chapel Service at 11 AM.
