Bertha Todd Obituary

Bertha Todd, 83, of Salem, beloved wife of Reginald Todd, passed away Sunday (July 29, 2018) at home.  Born Nov. 30, 1934 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Gusbertha (DeWild) Sekeet.

Mrs. Todd had worked as a supervisor for Brooks Brothers for many years.  She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Oakdale and a member of the Ladies Guild.  In her spare time, she loved to crochet and made many prayer shawls for the parish.

In addition to her loving husband of 65 years, she leaves two daughters, Cecelia Grisafe (and her husband, Bruce) of Salem and Bertha Todd of Stockholm, NJ and; three grandchildren, Bruce and Regina Grisafe and Michael Holzschuh; 11 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and brother, August Sekeet of Galaway Township, NJ.  She was predeceased by three siblings, Fredericka Zazulka and Henry and Frederick Sekeet.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 1 PM Wednesday (Aug. 1st) directly at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 752 Norwich-Salem Tpke. (Rte 82), Oakdale.  The family will receive guests at the church starting at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in the Salem Green Cemetery.  Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
