Carol W. Garrison

Carol W. Garrison, 83, of Norwich, and formerly of Colchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Backus Hospital. Born December 4, 1935 in Norwich; she was a daughter of the late Dudley and Louise (Sigrist) Woodworth. For years she was a school bus driver for the town of Colchester, and a senior bus driver for the town of Hebron. She was a warm and loving woman who cherished her family and enjoyed the peaceful serenity of nature, whether it be from the waves of the ocean, the flowers in her garden, or enjoying visits from birds at the feeders she would put out for them in her backyard. She is survived by her sons Kent Garrison of Colchester, and Kurt Garrison and his wife Karin of Mansfield, her daughter Kerry Garrison of Colchester, her sister Sally Ashburn of California, Grandchildren Marie Smith and her husband Sean of Colchester, Heidi Garrison and her companion Justin of Colchester, and Dylan Falbowski of Colchester, and her two great grandchildren Calvin and Morgan. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Garrison.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 5 – 7 at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester, CT 06415. Burial will be private.
