Daniel Gordon Macdonald

Daniel Gordon Macdonald, 35, of Colchester, passed away Thursday morning (July 13, 2017).  He was born on Feb. 21, 1982 in Hartford, the son of Nora Ann Cantele of Colchester and Walter Thorne Macdonald of Plymouth.  Dan also leaves his sister, Jennifer of Wilmington, NC and his stepmother, Susan.  He had worked as a house painter for United Power Washing and Painting in Colchester for the past 18 years.  In his spare time, he loved the outdoors, especially hiking and snowboarding.  A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be observed 6 PM Monday at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester.  The family will receive guests prior to the service from 4 – 6 PM.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to SCADD, 37 Camp Mooween Road, Lebanon, CT 06249.
