Frederick W. Wright

Rev. Frederick W. Wright, 83, of Lebanon, passed away on July 9, 2018 at the William W. Backus Hospital.  Born in New Haven on April 16, 1935, he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Thelma Wright.  Attending college at UCONN, he majored in Animal Sciences and later went to work for Arbor Acres in Glastonbury, where he also met his beloved wife, Charlotte Squier.  She predeceased him on April 16th this year.  After retiring from a twenty year career in the Poultry industry, Rev. Wright was ordained and became Pastor at the Willimantic Baptist Church.  He later was the Pastor at Deep River Baptist Church for over ten years.  Rev. Wright is currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Lebanon.  He was a former member of the Free Masons, he loved herb gardening and was also a hobby poultry farmer at home.  He will be remembered as a patient man with a calm demeanor and with a passionate love for the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he delighted in spreading the word of his faith.  He will be sadly missed but remembered with love by his daughter, Laurie Joslin, with whom he made his home; grandchildren, Justin Julian, Jacob Joslin, Jamie Joslin, Jenna Joslin; great grandson, Jason Ucci, Jr. and numerous extended family and friends. 

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be observed at the Lebanon Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 18th at 3:00 pm.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Donations in his memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lebanon, 694 Trumbull Hwy. P.O. Box 231, Lebanon CT 06249.
