Joanne J. Cadwell, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend, left us Sunday, November 10, 2019. Born January 5, 1937 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Tanina Joslyn. Most recently of Salem, she spent most of her life in Clinton, Chester, and Killingworth. Joanne worked tirelessly alongside her late husband, Frank for many years in business as Joslyn sales manufacturer representatives throughout the Northeast. She was a loving caregiver for her parents and then for her husband, who predeceased her in 2008 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Joanne had a love for animals, particularly her dogs, and spent her happiest days at “Just-A-Mere Farm”, her farmhouse in Chester. She was an avid gardener, birdwatcher and reader and will be remembered for her amazing Christmas trees. Along with her husband of over 54 years, she is predeceased by her son-in-law, Bradley Dean Belisle. She leaves behind her daughter, Deborah Cadwell of Salem, son, Frank Cadwell, Jr. and his wife, Heidi of Hollis, NH, son, Stuart Cadwell of Killingworth, and her daughter, Jocelyn Cadwell Belisle and her husband James Searson of Farmington. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Ronald Przech, Tanina Cadwell, Brittany Belisle Clements and her husband, Houston Clements, Linds Cadwell, and Brianna Belisle; her great-grandson, Paxton Przech; and numerous extended family members and friends. Family and friends may visit for calling hours at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester, on Thursday, Nov.14th beginning at 4:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Family and friends are also invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, Nov. 15th at 11am at the Fountain Hill Cemetery, 57 High St., Deep River, CT.
