Joyce E. (Anderson) Larson

Joyce Larson, from Stone Ridge, Mystic, CT formerly from Edina and Becketwood, Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018.  Proceeded in death by husband, Clayton Kay Larson; parents, Ernest Anderson, Ruth (Reese) Shane.  Joyce is survived by sons, Reese from CA, Bryce (Cheryl), and step-grandson, Justin Henry from CT.  Joyce was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, MA.  She graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1944 and attended the University of Minnesota.  Joyce was a past member of the Minneapolis Art Institute, Friends of the Institute, Raptor Center of the U of MN, Minneapolis Athletic Club, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Minneapolis Woman’s Club, and Edina Women’s Club.  The Larson family would like to thank the staff at Stone Ridge for the compassionate services they provided our mother when she was a resident.  In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private family burial at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.  The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester, CT has been entrusted with care of funeral services.
