Lois Ann (Congdon) Churchill

Lois Ann Churchill, age 75, of Colchester, passed away at home on October 7, 2019.  Born in New London on November 19, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lois (Way) Congdon.  Lois married her beloved husband, Richard F. Churchill on April 4, 1964.  The couple moved to Colchester where they made their home and raised their family.  Lois retired several years ago from the Colchester Public Schools where she worked in the cafeteria serving lunches. She loved to shop and cook wonderful meals for family and friends.  Lois also loved all animals, but especially her pets.  She will be remember most fondly by her family as a lady who put everyone else, and especially her family’s needs before her own.  In addition to her loving husband, of 55 years, survivors include her children, Richard and his wife Jennifer Churchill of Vernon, Thomas Churchill of Hartford; a sister, Janet Hubbard of Lyme; a granddaughter, Amanda Bolgrihn; two great grandchildren, Aaryn and Aaliyah Bolgrihn; and numerous extended family and friends.  A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 10 – 12 at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd,.
