Marie A. Pomerleau, “Pauline”, 90, of Lebanon and formerly of Hartford and Manchester, passed away on June 3, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. Her loving family was by her side. Born on June 15, 1928 in Stoke Center PQ Canada, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Rose (Dubreil) Provencher. She married Raoul Pomerleau on June 26, 1948 in Sherbrooke PQ Canada. The couple emigrated to the United States in 1954 and settled in Hartford where they made their home and raised their family. Raoul predeceased her on January 4, 2009. Marie was a devout catholic woman. Most recently, she was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi RC Church in Lebanon. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and to God. She leaves to mourn her passing a son and daughter in law, Leonard and Carla Pomerleau, a daughter, Carole Marie Pomerleau and her companion, Gene Baker; four grandchildren, Armand and his wife Catherine Pomerleau, Tammy and her husband James “Jim” Choquette, James Pomerleau and his companion Amanda Hardy, David Landry; twelve great grandchildren, Lauren, Anthony, Katie, Emily, Ryan, Sarah, Ava, Olivia, Allison, Andaireil, Lena, Kyara; three sisters, Irene Gingras, Huguette McCarthy, Marie Claire “Susan” Silva; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre deceased by a daughter, Joanne Landry and nine siblings.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Town Street, Lebanon. Burial will be held privately in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date.
