Rosario Gallitto

Rosario Gallitto, 81, of Colchester, went home to Heaven on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at home with his family at his side.  In his passing, he was reunited with his late wife Pasqualina (Romano) Gallitto, their daughter, Josephine; his parents, Bartolo and Giuseppina (Pappalardo) Gallitto and his brother, Pasquale Gallitto.  He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Bartolo and Frank Gallitto; and two grandchildren, Ariella and Bailey Gallitto, all of Colchester.  Rosario was born August 14, 1935 in Floridia, P.R. Siracusa, Sicily and had served with the Italian Army Bersaglieri before immigrating to the United States in 1962.  He learned the masonry trade in Sicily and worked in the field for many years before his retirement.  

A Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Luke Church in Hartford and followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  The service date and time, however, is pending.
