Rose Gutwill Obituary

Rose (Cukier) (Forst) Gutwill, 97, of West Hartford, widow of both the late Fred Gutwill and Max Forst, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 3, 2018. A survivor of the Holocaust, she is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Annie and William and Paulette and William as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose also leaves her sister, Riva. A Memorial to celebrate Rose’s life will be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest privately alongside her first husband, Max, in the Lebanon Congregation/Jewish Aid Cemetery, Colchester. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Hoffman Summerwood Community in West Hartford (www.hoffmansummerwood.org) or to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC (www.ushmm.org). Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
