Dear Burtis family:

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your loved one. Take comfort in knowing that soon all those in the memorial tombs or grave will be resurrected or raised up back to life in conditions free from sickness and death (John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:4). Those are just two of many comforting scriptures found in the Bible. May the God of love comfort your family and friends during your period of mourning.

My condolences to the Burtis family on your loss. You don't know me but my dad, Arthur J.Murphy, and uncle, Pat Cooperman, served with Wallace in the Mount Vernon Fire Dept. in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. My dad always said that amongst firefighters it was a special brotherhood as they rush into fires together while others run away. I thank you Wallace for being a friend to my dad and for being so selfless to serve our country in the military and the City of Mt.Vernon. A brave hero. I will say a prayer to Saint Florian, patron saint of firefighters, to intercede on Wallace's behalf. May he find comfort in being with his wife once again and in being in the sight of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Bill and the entire Burtis family - So sorry for your loss. Wally was a great man. It was an honor to know and work with him at Moodus Lumber and see him for years after around town and more recently at his grand sons games in Colchester. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Bill- we are sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I am sure having him in your home was a blessing but also difficult at times. May the God of all comfort be with you and your family at this time.
