William Surwill Obituary

William Henry Surwill, “Billy”, age 62, of Middletown and formerly of Colchester, passed away at Middlesex Hospital on June 6, 2019, after a long disabling illness. Born in Norwich on August 18, 1956, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Hill) Surwill. Billy grew up in Colchester and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School. He worked as a Data Processor for Traveler’s Insurance for many years. He will be sadly missed but remembered with love by his brother, Joseph and his wife Diane Surwill of Henrico, NC; his son Luke Surwill of Ellington, CT, a nephew, Joseph Surwill, Jr. of Colchester; a niece, Anne Lussier of Georgia; and many extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements.
