Albert Earl Cummings of East Haddam, passed away on April 20, 2024. Born on December 16, 1935 in Middletown, CT, he was the son of the late Joseph Brean Cummings and Mabel (Parkman) Cummings. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 68 years, Nancy (Gustafson) Cummings; a daughter, Debra and husband George Corey of East Haddam; son, Michael Cummings of Moodus, eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. Albert was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Alice Bond and grandchildren, Janet Marie Corey and Jillian Alice Bond. Albert loved outdoor life, hunting, fishing, and camping which he enjoyed as a member of the Colchester Fish and Game Club. He was a master carpenter and built many homes for families in the area. Albert will be sadly missed but always remembered with love. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26th at 11 am in the First Church Cemetery, 499 Town Street, E. Haddam.
