Albert G. Garrett, Sr. 87, of Marlborough, CT, lovingly known as “Skip, departed this life on June 8, 2023. Skip was born June 4, 1936 in Hartford CT. He lived in Colchester, CT most of his life and later in Marlborough, CT. He was a retired school Assistant Principal at Watertown Junior High School, a Professional Musician and an Army Reserve Veteran. Skip was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Novel Garrett, first wife Betty Louise Branche-Garrett and daughters Patricia and Melissa. Skip is survived by his wife Willess Williamson-Garrett, brother Norman Garrett and sister in-law Shirley (Jean) of East Hartford, CT, son Albert G. Garrett, Jr. and wife Merry of Tolland, CT, daughter Yvette Gregorie and husband Brien Gregorie of Hebron, CT and daughter Cheryl Cummings of Hebron, CT. Grandchildren Marcus Spinner of New Haven, CT and Daisy Anna Garrett of Tolland, CT. Extended family Angela Cottingham of Cromwell, CT Issac Williamson of Houston, TX and Brian Williamson of Meriden, CT and a host of loved ones and friends who will miss him dearly. Burial will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 12 PM directly at Linwood Cemetery, Linwood Cemetery Rd, Colchester, CT. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society .
