Alexis Michael Cone, 44, of Lebanon, CT passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021, at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan, after a long battle with breast cancer.
Alexis was born on February 25, 1977 to Michael & Carol (Woollands) Collins of Fairfield, CT. She was a 1995 graduate of Christian Heritage School and continued her education at the Tunxis Community College Dental Hygiene Program and started her career at Norwich Family Dental Associates.
In 2002, Alexis married Jeffrey Cone of Lebanon, CT and started their life at “River Plain Dairy,” where Alexis embraced farm life at its best. The couple have four children, Jacob 17, Nathan 16, Isaac 14 and Rachel 12, and together, they spent their days raising an award winning dairy herd, plowing the fields, baling hay, growing a garden and taking on the myriad of farm activities. Alexis devoted her life to her family and everything they were involved in, from showing animals at the fair, FFA, 4H, Vo-Ag to baseball, soccer and movie night.
Alexis had a bubbly personality and could light up a room in an instant. She was the center of her family, her friends and had an ever-present love for people and connections; there was an instant kinship with everyone she met whether she was at the ball field, Arrowhead Acres, or Lebanon Fair.
Alexis was a devout Christian, a member of “Moms In Prayer,” an avid reader, a loving wife, mother and “auntie.” She enjoyed the outdoors, vacations, but mostly being with her husband and children. She raised her family to know Jesus, and she will be greatly missed by all.
Alexis is survived by her husband and children, parents, sister Janine (Collins) Cone & husband Jon, her brother Michael, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended Cone family and numerous nieces and nephews.
