Alice Draghi Sabo, 96, of Moodus, CT, formerly of Wallingford, CT; passed away on December 31, 2023. She was the daughter of Peter and Lena (Quagliaroli) Draghi, born on January 16, 1927. She graduated from Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, in 1945, and from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She married Alexander Sabo, son of Joseph and Julia Sabo, of Wallingford on June 4, 1949. Alice is survived by her children, Susan S. Bengtson (Dennis, Sr.), Keith A. Sabo (Kimberly), Tim P. Sabo, and Peter Sabo (Dana). Grandchildren; Ryan A. Bengtson, Patrick Bengtson (Brittany), Nicholas Sabo, Jamie Wilson Brandon), Kristin Marrero and her fiancé Jordan Rozas, and his son Jayden, Alexander Sabo and step-grandchildren, John Macy (Kory), Brian Macy, Tim Macy (Phon) and daughter Alice. Great grandchildren, Calan Bengtson, Juliana Marrero, Logan Wilson; step grandchildren Charlie Macy, Alice Macy, and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Alice is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Alexander, to whom she was married for 46 years, and a beloved grandson, Dennis K. Bengtson, Jr., and her sisters, Rita Hunter, and Marjorie Kimball. She was active in her community and was a member of the East Haddam Commission on Aging for many years. The East Haddam Senior Center, the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association, the St. Bridget’s Ladies Guild, the Bashan Lake Association, the East Haddam Lions Club, and the Sunset Acres Association of Bashan Lake. Visitation will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM at the St. Bridget of Kildare Church 75 Moodus Leesville Rd, Moodus, CT 06469 followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 AM. Burial will be private at later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to either the Senior Center Activity Fund P.O.
