Anne Marie Cohan, of South Windsor, passed away on November 17, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital Comfort Care Center. She was 92 years old. Anne was born in the Bronx, NY on July 5, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Lilly (Odierna) Scrimenti. She grew up and attended school in New York City where she also met and married her beloved husband Robert Cohan in 1956. Robert predeceased Anne in 1965, after which she raised their daughter on her own. They moved to Connecticut where they made their home in South Windsor. Anne took great pride in her home and her special touch was evident inside and out. Anne worked as a secretary throughout her career, first with Combustion Engineering and later retired from Hayes Corporation. In her free time she could usually be found reading a good book. Most importantly, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her daughter, Karen Kuster of Colchester; grandchildren, Danielle and husband Matthew Ryan, Nicole Kuster, Melissa Kuster; great grandsons, Theodore and Jackson and many extended family and friends. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd at 1 PM at New St. Andrew Cemetery, Gillettes Lane, Colchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements.
