It is with deep sorrow that our beautiful Annette, devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend left this world after a prolonged battle with cancer and has gone to be with the Lord.
Annette grew up in Hebron, CT where she enjoyed an active childhood with family and friends. She attended RHAM High School in Hebron, CT and participated on the cross-country team, graduating with the class of 1979. After graduation, she began her career at Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford, CT where she was recognized as a top claims adjustor. After leaving Aetna, she continued her profession as an insurance claims adjustor and office manager for several medical offices. Annette also proudly volunteered as a first responder at the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Department.
In her spare time, Annette enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, decorating for the holidays, working in her flower gardens, and collecting glass miniatures. Her glass pigs were her most cherished collection. Annette was an avid Beatles lover with her favorite being Paul McCartney. She had a lifelong passion for Chevrolet Camaros, owning six in her life. Her 2002 Z28 was her favorite car. She found much pleasure and comfort in her beloved pets, Gus, Clementine, Zoey, and Charlotte. She loved going to Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island.
Annette is survived by the greatest joys of her life, her children Joseph Di Buono-Schuebeler of Colchester and Brianna Di Buono of Norwich. She is also survived by her ex-husband and good friend, Edgar Schuebeler, of Colchester, mother Annette Nicolo-Di Buono of Hebron, brother Richard Di Buono and his wife Linda of Florida, sister Sandra Di Buono of Hebron, brother Frank Di Buono of Hebron, and brother Michael Di Buono and his wife Michelle of Colchester, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Annette was predeceased by her father Richard Di Buono and brother Joseph Di Buono. She will be deeply missed by so many.
Annette will be laid to rest on Monday July 22, 2024. A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Andrews Church in Colchester, CT at 11:00AM with burial immediately following. There will be no calling hours.
