Antoinette Marie (Tarvano) Edgar

Antoinette Marie Edgar, 87, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Backus Hospital in Norwich. Born December 26, 1933 in Hartford, CT; she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella Tarvano.  In 1953 she married her husband, Arthur Edgar, Sr. The couple settled in Enfield where they raised their family. For many years, Antoinette worked as a secretary at Travelers Insurance, and later worked for the UConn Food Service until her retirement at the age of 83. During her retirement she would volunteer as the receptionist at the Lebanon Senior Center, and worked as a tour guide for the Lebanon Historical Society. In her spare time she enjoyed working at the Senior Center bazaar jewelry booth and numerous other arts and crafts; however her greatest joy in life came from her family who she loved more than anything in the world. She is survived by her husband Arthur Edgar Sr.; her sons Arthur, Jr and wife Noreen Edgar of Tolland, and Anthony Edgar and companion Davina Sherward of Valley Vista, AZ; grandchildren Joseph Edgar and partner Krysta Muzyka of Stafford Springs, Katherine Sherward and Dawn Williams; great-grandchild Lucas Edgar; and numerous other extended family and friends. A one hour visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 10:30-11:30 am directly at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 West Town Street, Lebanon, CT followed by celebration of the funeral mass at 11:30 am. Burial will take place in the New Lebanon Cemetery on Waterman Rd.
