Arlen Hugh Collins Jr., age 68, of New Orleans, LA and formerly of Hebron, CT passed away on April 30, 2020, after a valiant and courageous battle with lung disease. Born on July 30, 1951 in Boston, MA, he was a son of Lorraine Long, of Nashville, TN and the late Arlen Hugh Collins, Sr. Arlen grew up in Hebron, CT and attended school there. In 1971 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving our country during the Vietnam War. For many years, he worked as a building contractor at various construction sites which included doing restoration work in parts of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Arlen loved life; he was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the peace of the wilderness. He will be forever loved, and remembered by his mother, Lorraine Long; brothers, Wayne Collins of North Myrtle Beach, SC & Ralph Collins of Port Charlotte, FL; a sister, Marlaine Collins and her husband Richard Williams of Nashville, TN; his nephew, Dean Collins; nieces, Katherine & Laura Zoerb; and numerous extended family and friends.
