Barbara E. Warden

Barbara E. Warden, 88, of Colchester passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020. Born May 25, 1932 in Lincoln, RI; she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Teal) Midgley. Barbara spent much of her youth growing up on Block Island. For years she worked as a manager at S&S World Wide, and the CT Yankee Nuclear Power Plant until her retirement in 1996. Barbara was a member of the Colchester Federated Church, and the Colchester Senior Center. She was a gifted quilter and knitter. During her retirement Barbara took as many vacations with her daughters as possible and traveled the world. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughters Susan Standish, Brenda Tyszka, Cheryl Kelly, Debra Warden, and Barbara A. Warden; her 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband George F. Warden; her daughters Sheila A. Justin, and Donna D. Schwab; and her sister Shirley. A graveside service will be observed on Saturday, September 19 at 11 AM directly at the Linwood Cemetery in Colchester, CT.
