Camille Pierrette Brike, 68, of Salem, CT passed away on June 28, 2023, at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. Camille fought an extremely courageous fight in her battle against ALS for over two years and never wavered in her zest for compassion, humor, and life.
Camille was born October 1,1954, in Palmer, MA. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Marcelle (Vermette) Pelletier. Camille leaves her husband, Vincent Brike, Jr. of 47 years, daughters Nicole Lemon, Gabrielle and husband Kent Lorenz and her grandson, Liam Lemon, who was the light of her life. Camille also leaves her sister, Reneé Pelletier, of California, and numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Serge Pelletier.
Camille graduated from Windham High School in 1972 and attended the University of Connecticut. She was employed by Traveler’s Insurance in Hartford, CT for forty-eight years, Mohegan Sun Box Office, and The Bushnell. Camille loved live performances and attended as many as she was able. Her co-workers loved her infectious laugh, her devoted work ethic, and her sense of commitment to making the place of employment a positive and lively experience!
Camille continued in her dedication to living life to the fullest in her community and served as a leader when her daughters were active in Girl Scouts. She was the first to offer support to any friend who needed any type of assistance. Camille’s sense of giving was admired by all.
Camille’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of “The Home Aides” for their compassionate care of Camille during her illness.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT.
A funeral mass will take place July 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew Church, 128 Norwich Avenue, Colchester, CT.
