Carlos Bauer of Colchester, CT passed away on July 13, 2025, due to injuries from an automobile accident. He was 27 years old. Carlos was born on August 7, 1997 in Hartford. He is the son of Michael and Luisa (Villegas) Bauer. Carlos grew up in Colchester and graduated from Bacon Academy. After high school, he went to work at Electric Boat in Groton in the IT department.
In his spare time, Carlos enjoyed traveling, especially for music festivals throughout the United States and Canada. He also had a love of cooking and someday dreamed of becoming a chef. He always cared deeply for his family and friends and will be remembered as someone who was always there if you needed him.
Carlos will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by his parents, Michael and Luisa; siblings Michael and Isabelle Bauer of Colchester, CT; his uncles and aunts, Walt and Ela Bauer; Elaine “Lady” Plude, Marlene Bauer, Bernabe Villegas, Eduardo Villegas, Nyda Villegas; cousins Walt Jr., Chris, Jill and husband Tony, Kristy, Leslie, Nick, Shela, Broly, Nana, Reggie; his closest and dearest friend Alex Wetmore and by many other extended family members and friends.
The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements. Calling hours will be held at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home on Monday, July 21 from 9:30-10:30 am, a Funeral Mass will follow at 11am at St. Andrews Church and then a burial in Linwood Cemetery in Colchester.
