Carol (Davidson) Fortin, 72, of Amston, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Born March 31, 1952, in Schenectady, NY. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Sage) Davidson. Following high school, Carol went on to attend the University of Connecticut, where she would earn her bachelor's degree in physical therapy. Carol’s desire to help others led her to a career as a physical therapist within Gaylord Hospital.

On October 23, 1988, she married her husband, Bob Fortin; the couple would spend the next 37 years building a life together while raising their son, always by each other’s side. Whether it be Fishing on Lake Ontario, Pheasant hunting, or a nice relaxing day at the beach on one of their getaway trips to Cape Cod. Carol greatly enjoyed hiking and keeping busy around her home where she would find peace through gardening, caring for her chickens, and beloved springer spaniel Misty.

Carol will be profoundly missed by her husband, Bob and son Robert Fortin, along with many other extended family and friends. Care of private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Aurora- McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
