Cassandra Ellen Holt

Cassandra Ellen Holt, age 77, of Colchester, passed away at home on December 31, 2020.  She was born in Kansas City, KS on May 5, 1943 and was raised in San Bernardino, CA. Cassie married her beloved husband, Ron, on September 29, 1962.  In 1965, the couple moved to Colchester, CT where they made their home and raised their family.  Cassie retired several years ago after a long and successful career as a geriatric nurse, working in several area convalescent facilities.  Countless people were treated to wonderful culinary delights, as Cassie shared her love of food and cooking with everyone.  She grew vegetables and flowers in her own gardens and she was a talented crafter.  Cassie will be remembered as a woman who never complained, no matter what life dealt her.  She was fiercely devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom will remember her with love and adoration.  In addition to her husband Ron of 58 years, she leaves three children and their spouses, Cheryl (James) Purcell of Lawrenceville, NJ, Sam Holt of Colchester, Dennis (Vicki) Holt of Colchester; six grandchildren, JuRee, Megan, Sean, Brianna, Erin, Alison; six great grandchildren, Jared, Dylan, Vincent, Clare, Liam, Declan; two sisters, Jaynene Loudermilk and Genevieve (Jerri) Laguardia, both of CA; and numerous extended family members and friends.  She was pre deceased by her mother and father, Jimmie Lou Bittner and William Charles Bittner, a sister, Juanita Jackson and her brother, Skip (William C.
