Cecile M. Leclerc 83, of Lebanon passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Backus Hospital. Born July 29, 1938, in Berlin, New Hampshire; she was a daughter of the late Thomas O. Morneau and Yvonne (Melanson) Morneau. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings Doris Nelson, Ernest Morneau, Lorraine Brochu, Pauline Therrien, Yvon (Donald) Morneau, and Paul Morneau. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter Paula and spouse David McDowell; sister Helene Morneau and brother Joseph Morneault of Crockett, TX; grandchildren Meghan and spouse Ryan Johnson, Dillon McDowell and spouse Jessica Benjamin; great grandchildren Raegan, Rowan, Ryleigh and Skylar; and numerous other extended family and friends. Cecile will always be remembered for her laugh, great sense of humor and witty remarks (was always the clown in the crowd), and of course her love of Channel 3 soap operas. She also loved to be outside, she liked the beach, walking and biking (when she was able to), boat rides, camping and sitting by a campfire. She was always looking for a shape in the flames or in the clouds above. She loved ice cream, her dogs and UFO's (she claimed she never did drugs but was "abducted"). Her greatest joy in life was her family; she loved and embraced being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her last joy was to meet her newest great granddaughter Skylar. Calling hours will be on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 9:00 am followed by a 10:00 am mass, both will be at the church, St. Andrew Church, Guardian Angels Parish 128 Norwich Ave. Colchester, CT 06415 In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to the Patients and Parents Fund through Connecticut Cancer Foundation or Women and Girl Fund through Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut.
