Christine Marie Kaszczynec, of Salem, passed away peacefully at her home on December 25, 2025. She was born in Norwich, on September 25, 1942, to the late Joseph and Rose Chotkowski. She attended high school at Bacon Academy in Colchester, CT. After graduating, she spent her time happily as a wife and mother.

In 1961, she married the love of her life, Raymond Kaszczynec, who spent many years as a Connecticut State Trooper. Together, they had two daughters whom they raised in Salem, CT in the home they built together. In her spare time, Chris enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, and gardening. She was particularly fond of the hummingbirds who would visit her flower garden. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Chris will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children, Laurie Cooper and husband Gary of St Petersburg, FL, Deborah Fontaine of Norwich, CT; her grandchildren, Emerson, Julia, Nicole, Mark and wife Kylie; her great grandchildren, Emmi George Ann and Suede Kasz; her sister Barbara Justynski and numerous extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond who we believe she is now finally reunited with.
