Dale Edward Sabot, of Watertown, passed away at his home on August 9, 2023. He was 73 years old. Dale was born on August 16, 1949, in Waterbury, CT. He was the son of the late Demetro and Gladys (Reinheimer) Sabot. Dale grew up in Watertown and Oakville, served in the US Army as a medic during the Vietnam War and upon returning, he eventually settled in San Antonio, TX. and graduated from Texas A&M. Later he worked as a horse and cab duo with his beloved horse, Amos. Dale loved Amos so much he purchased him and brought him back to live out his life in CT. Dale worked as a care giver, retiring from Southbury Training School several years ago. In his free time, Dale enjoyed spending time at the Wolcott Landowners Protective Association. He will be remembered as a soft-spoken man who loved animals, enjoyed the peace and quiet of his home and the company of some wonderful friends. He leaves his sister, Arlene (Linda) McCarthy of N. Ft. Myers, FL; a niece, Stacy; and a grand nephew, Alex. A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at a later date to be announced. Arlene wishes to extend special thanks to Sarah, Deb and Traci for their contributions to Dale's life.
