Dana Shaw, of Colchester, passed away suddenly on September 29, 2025.  Dana was born on July 16, 1980 in New London, CT to parents Drew Shaw and Heather (Arman) Rice.  Dana was one of the most caring people you could ever know, and was always there to help anyone she could. Despite fighting her addictions, and enduring physical, mental, and emotional traumas throughout her life, Dana possessed an unwavering, courageous heart full of love.  Dana loved the many years she lived on Amston Lake, and summers on the lake were her favorite.  She found great comfort and companionship with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sadie.  Dana will be missed terribly, but always remembered with love by her parents, Drew Shaw of Montville, and Heather (Arman) Rice of Columbia; siblings, Ron Flynn of Columbia, Lori and husband Paul Cataldi of Mystic, Beth Shaw of Coventry, Keri Shaw of New London; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.  Funeral services will be held privately.  For online condolences or to share a story of Dana for her family, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
