Daniel Charles O’Mara IV, 32, of East Haddam passed away at home on Friday April 29, 2022. Born November 23, 1989, in Virginia Beach and raised in New Haven, Daniel enjoyed the last 15 years “living the dream” on the Moodus Reservoir. He was the son of Danny and Judy (Banning) O’Mara, brother of Brittany O’Mara and grandson of Danny “Bitsy” O’Mara, Beth Fredericks and Alfred Banning. He will be forever loved by his O’Mara cousin crew and aunties and will be missed by numerous other friends and family. He has been reunited with Unk T, Mimi and Mama, filling them in on all the shenanigans they’ve missed. Daniel loved his dog Willow, the outdoors, a variety of music and all kinds of snacks. He could always be found by his father’s side whether it was working together, trips to the casino or hanging out at the bait shop. Those who knew Daniel will remember him for his big smile, blue eyes, quick wit, and talent to fix anything he laid his hands on. Daniel battled with addiction and although we are heartbroken by the loss, we are proud of the struggles he overcame and now know he is at peace. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
