David Ernest Glazier, 69, of Colchester, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Bristol Hospital. Born May 1, 1954, in Norwich, CT; he was a son of the late Albert and Virgina (White) Glazier. David worked for many years as a Field Service Engineer at Design Resource. David will always be remembered as a hardworking man who held a deep appreciation for nature. Every year he looked forward to the arrival of the migrating Baltimore Orel birds. He was a member of the Lake Hayward Association where he could often be found fishing, kayaking, or sailing, and during the winter he enjoyed cross-country skiing across the lake. In late September he and his wife Linda would go camping at Mollidgewock State Park in New Hampshire to enjoy kayaking and canoeing on the river and hiking surrounding areas for waterfalls. He was truly at his happiest whenever he was outdoors. When he wasn’t out in nature, he loved to relax on the back deck playing his guitar or getting lost in an episode of Star Trek. The only thing that he enjoyed more, was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Linda Glazier; children Desiree Nazro and husband Adam Nazro, and Monique Park and husband Michael; stepchildren Rhea Brown and AJ Kaufman and wife Heather Kaufman; brothers Albert Glazier, Terrance Glazier and Michael Glazier; grandchildren Jacob and Nathan Park; and numerous other extended family and friends. In Addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Bob Glazier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM. A memorial mass will take place the following day, November 7, 2023, at 10 AM directly at the St. Andrew Church, 128 Norwich Avenue, Colchester, CT 06415. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to a charity that benefits dementia.
