Deborah Kathryn Smith, 72 years of age, a resident of Hebron, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024. Born on October 7, 1951, in Fort Ord, California, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Marie (Brown) Perry. Deborah attended High School in Vernon, Connecticut and would go on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. In November of 1969 she married her husband, the late William Dunnett. The couple enjoyed sharing each other’s company and began to build a family together with the arrival of their son David Dunnett. The couple owned a pub together in South Windsor, upon selling the business, Deborah followed her true passion of caring for others. Working in the healthcare field allowed her to live out this passion, with a focus on helping special needs children. Deborah’s Husband William predeceased her in 1998. Following the passing of her husband, Deborah would go on to find companionship with the late Bruce Smith. Deborah will always be remembered for her compassion towards others, and ability to bring those close to her together over countless delicious home cooked meals. She greatly enjoyed the challenge of building puzzles, completing crosswords, and could often be found spending an entertaining afternoon watching her various favorite game shows.

Deborah will be forever remembered and greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her son David and wife Kathy along with her grandson William. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Roland Perry.
