Debra Lee Paris, of Norwich and formerly of Colchester, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 7, 2023, at Hartford Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Debra was 65 years old. She was born on July 10, 1958 in Torrington, CT, a daughter of the late Vincent and Agnes (Vranich) Baltas. Debra grew up in East Hartford where she attended school. She went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and later, trained to be an EMT for a time with the Colchester Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Department. Debra lived for most of her adult life in Colchester where she made her home and raised her family. The family also enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod whenever they could. Debra worked for many years as a cardiac monitor technician at Backus Hospital in Norwich.
