Diane Elizabeth Bourdeau, 64, of Salem, left this world, unexpectedly, and far too early on Sunday, December 12, 2021. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, her passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of all she touched. Diane was born October 22, 1957 in Attleboro, Massachusetts; the daughter of Roland Forget and the late Ruth Forget. After graduating from Montville High School in 1976, Diane married her husband Donald Bourdeau Jr. in 1978. The couple settled in Salem, CT where she dedicated her life to raising her children and supporting the family farm. A devoted mother, whose love knew no bounds, Diane will always be remembered for her generosity, gigantic heart, and the kindness she brought into the lives of her family and friends. Nothing would make her happier than bringing a smile to your face or time spent with her kids and grandkids. Along with her unconditional love for her family, she will always be remembered for her magnificent flower gardens, immense passion for the holidays (especially Christmas!), and gifts in the kitchen – who will ever forget her turkey stuffing, apple pie, and Christmas cookies. Diane is survived by her husband Donald W. Bourdeau, Jr.; children Stephen (Jennifer) Bourdeau, Andrew Bourdeau, Krystle (Michael) Caisse, and Jamerio Vinson who was also a son to her; siblings Daniel (Amy) Forget, Cathleen Forget, Judith (Kevin) MacDonald, and Tim (Corinna) Forget; grandchildren Lucas and Brooke Bourdeau, and Aria, Jade, and Maya Caisse; her two dogs Bailey and Pedro; and numerous other extended family and friends whose lives she forever impacted. She is predeceased by her mother Ruth Forget, brother-in-law Craig Bourdeau, and mother and father-in-law Donald W. Bourdeau, Sr. and Anna J. Bourdeau. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 5-7 PM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org or to the ASPCA www.aspca.org.
