Diane M. Rottmann

Diane M. Rottmann, 71, of Colchester and formerly of Elmont, LI, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at her home. Born on June 25, 1950, she moved to Colchester in 1973 with her mother, Bertha Rottmann, who predeceased her in August of 2004.  

Diane worked in retail, in New York City and continued her career in Connecticut, at G Fox, Filene's and Macys, from which she retired in 2018.  

She became involved with the Goodspeed Opera House in the late 1970s. She was a theater patron, a member of the guild and volunteered her time wherever it was needed to include the welcome dinners and flower committee. Besides volunteering, she also worked as an usher and assistant house manager.  

Diane is survived by her two cousins and their families; and her very dear friend and adopted family Arlene and George Kawecki, and their children. Besides her mother, Diane is also predeceased by her father Arthur A. Rottmann.
