It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Donna Marie Brochu, of Columbia; she was 62 years old. Donna was born May 15,1962 in Claremont, New Hampshire, to Joseph and Laverne (Bennett) Langton. Donna was a former secretary of Beardsley Oil & Gas Company in Springfield, VT. She later went on to Nursing school and obtained her nursing degree.  She began her career in Oncology, and eventually transitioned to working in group homes for adults with developmental disabilities in the eastern CT area. She adored her clients and coworkers as they were her own family, and she was proud to be part of their community.  Donna will always be remembered as a compassionate and loving soul, who cherished spending time with her family. In her spare time one of her favorite things to do was to sit outside with her husband Glenn and watch birds, and other woodland creatures that would come out of the forest to say a quick hello. She is survived by her husband Glenn Brochu; daughters Nicole and Taylor Brochu; her parents, Laverne and Joe, sisters Kim Langton and Kelly English and her husband Hank. Niece Jessica Saimininkas and sister-in-law, Adrienne Brochu and her partner Steve, and nephews Joe and Michael Harris, as well as numerous other extended family and friends. Care of private funeral arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
