Earl Everett Wheeler Jr. of Bozrah, passed away on August 4, 2025, at Hartford Hospital after a sudden illness.  He was 77 years old.  Earl was born on May 6, 1948. He was disabled from birth.  Despite the challenges he faced, Earl became a treasured member of the Oakhill group home in Bozrah.  He attended the Whole Life adult day program in Norwich and was loved by all who cared for him there as well.  Earl will be sadly missed but remembered with love, especially by Valerie Taff, his plenary guardian of many years.  The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 at Camp Harkness Dining Hall,  301 Great Neck Rd, Waterford, CT from 11am - 1pm.  A burial will take place at the Ponemah Cemetery on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 3pm.  For online condolences or to share a story of Earl, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
