Edward Jay Palmer, 62, of Colchester, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Born January 19, 1962 in Hartford, CT, he was a son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Watrous) Palmer. Ed worked as a dispatcher for over 20 years for various companies and was a former member of the Moose Club in Marlborough. Ed enjoyed fishing in his spare time and some of his children's most cherished memories are of unplanned car adventures. Above all though, Ed loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Kimberly Palmer; children Steven Allard and his wife Taylor Allard, Elizabeth Allard, Kaitlyn Prior and her husband Matthew Prior and Nicholas Palmer; Grandchildren, Blake and Camden Allard, Amelia, Owen and Addison Prior; siblings Barbara Miller, Patricia Schulze, Dennis Palmer and wife Brenda, Donald Palmer, David Palmer and Fred Palmer; and numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings James Palmer, Robert Palmer and Jackie Beck. Care of private arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home.
