Erwin Arthur Stoddard, 96, of Colchester, and formerly of Enfield, Connecticut and Ocala, Florida, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. Born January 19, 1926 in Cady’s Falls in Morristown, Vermont; he was the son of the late Archie Leo and Levina Adeline Stoddard. Erwin answered the call of duty in 1944 by enlisting in the military to honorably serve our nation during World War II in the Army Airborne. After his military service, he went on to work at Pratt & Whitney for over 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He will always be remembered as a hard-working proud family man who enjoyed woodworking, spending time in nature, taking long scenic drives with his wife, and time with his family, especially at the beach. He will be forever loved and remembered by his four children Linda and Paul Kwiatkowski, Valerie and Rick Bidwell, Arthur and Rhonda Stoddard, John and Rebecca Stoddard, his six step children Eileen Morales, Debbie and Paul Mientus, Pam (Coleen) Ranheim, Leanne Ranheim, Bettyann and Bradley Lemire and Tricia Scrivener, along with his seven grandchildren, seventeen step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild, as well as numerous other extended family and friends. Erwin is preceded by his beloved wife of thirty years Frances Patricia Stoddard and his sisters, Dorothy Carbonaro, Aileen Durante and Evelyn Gibson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 9, 2022 directly at the New St. Andrew Cemetery on Gillette’s lane in Colchester at 10 AM.
