Eugene D. Wright

Eugene, (Gene) D. Wright, age 49 of Colchester, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, (September 2, 2020) at Middlesex Hospital. Gene, was Born on November 2, 1970 In Manchester CT. 

It is unfortunate that we lost Gene so suddenly and at such a young age. Gene will be greatly missed and remembered everyday by many, especially his parents, S. Eugene and Cora Wright; brother, John A. Young III; sister’s, Stacy L. Gregoire and Jo-Ann Dilla. Gene also leaves behind, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, along with 7 great Nieces, and nephews, as well as many other friends and family. 

Eugene (Gene) D. Wright was best known for his genuine heart, infectious smile, faithful friendship, and quick-witted personality. Gene was a beloved Son, brother, uncle, and friend. From a young age, Gene always enjoyed fishing with his nephews, hunting, but only after searching for and finding the perfect spot to score the perfect Buck, and spending time with his family and friends.  All of which he held near and dear to his heart. 

“I hope that you are no longer suffering from the pain, and have found the peace, you have been searching for. Above all, I pray that you have finally reunited with your one true love, Lori Rycroft. I love you Gene”.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 3rd from 2-4PM at the Colchester Park and Recreation Pavilion.
