Frances “Frano” Mary Reynolds Hurlbutt, 92, of Marlborough, widow of the late Harold Hurlbutt, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Middlesex Hospital. Born August 13, 1928 in Skerries, County Dublin, Ireland; she was a daughter of the late John and Georgeanna (Hurlbutt) Reynolds. In 1948 her family left Ireland and moved to America. Frances obtained her Master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University. She married her husband Harold W. Hurlbutt in 1955. The couple moved to Marlborough and for years Frances taught at the Portland schools. She was a spiritual woman who was very active at St. John Fisher church in Marlborough. In her spare time she loved to go golfing, or playing bridge with friends. Frances is survived by her children Brian R. Hurlbutt of Marlborough, Niall P. Hurlbutt of Manchester, and Nicolette J. Hurlbutt of Manchester; her sister Lucille Hartling of NJ; and many other numerous extended family and friends.
